Final project for woodworking school ready to finish. one walnut slab, two credenzas

heyo. this is my last quarter in a year long cabinetmaking / furniture building school. These were made from one big 3.5" slab i had resawn and turned into doors. the carcass is walnut ply with 2.5" solid edge facing. threaded solid brass shelf supports and brass inlay detail on one door of each console. sorry vertical pics get wonky

That's a truly lovely design, Christopher! Keeping that natural edge look on the upper rail is an eye-opening feature and really makes this piece special.

Like Jim ,I think that rail is a nice unifying feature. My preference is always toward vertical grain panels, and I think they
always seem more orderly ,natural ,and easier to match. But you did a good job with your plan and might even inspire
    a trend.

If this is your school project, it looks like it should get an "A+". Great Work....
