Thread: Respirator Name

    Respirator Name

I saw a woodworker who had a mouthpiece and arms(?) sitting on each shoulder that appeared to be connected to dust filters and counterweights(?). This allowed the worker to work hands free and not worry about a mask over his face. What is the name of this type of respirator?

Wow, that's interesting. Looks kinda cobbled together. Wonder what happens when he turns his head left or right or up or down.

OTOH it does provide better than average vision.

That nose clamp is a deal breaker for me. I've gotten so used to this cheap HF respirator that I don't even notice it...and it works

I've never used one of those, but spent many hours using a front snorkel for swimming. You don't have to pinch your nose with a nose clamp, but learn to breathe only with your mouth. It's not hard to learn. If people can learn quickly to only breathe with their mouth, with their nose open, underwater, it shouldn't be hard in the air either.
