    Wood glue

Are Titebond 3 and Elmer's wood glue max, the same thing?
    Are there any differences?

Elmer's Max is an outdoor rated PVA glue but it also has wood fibers in it, according to descriptions. So that would be something that makes it a little different than TB-III. I doubt that in actual application that you'll see much difference if you want to try one over the other. I tend to use Titebond across the board because it's so easily sourced.

For a while Elmer's Carpenter's Glue was hard to find, pushed off the shelves by Titebond, but yesterday I found it again. I prefer it to the thicker Titebond.

I use one or the other, which is ever on the store shelves. I haven't had a problem with either.

I was told that the open time listed for MAX is not realistic (ie, it sets faster than TB III). I was not able to find Elmer's page on the glue, everything has been replaced with information on slime (annoys me, makes my daughter happy).

In other words, i was not able to check things such as claimed open time and temperatures for use. I wanted to compare against this:
