    Question Stanley measuring tool perhaps?

    Anyone know what this tool is used for please? It may of course have bugger all to do with woodworking.

    With the scale notes it looks like it might be something to do with surveying.

    Interesting that it is scaled to inches and yards. England went metric about 50 years ago, if my memory is working.

    Hilton, are there mounting holes or brackets on the underside?

    Not sure Jim. I saw this on my local bid site and it looked interesting. Probably for surveying as you said. I think I'll pass.
