Jet 15 inch drill press table

I have a Jet 15 inch standing drill press. The table is about 12 by 17 - it is advertised as being convenient for woodworkers. It has 2 T slots as will as 4 smaller through slots closer to the drill. Does anybody have particular clamps they are using for this table? Perhaps I should build my own wood table to fit over this, but if I can get by with the original table....thanks

A wood table cover is nice because it is lead slippery and does not stain your project.

I took the tables off my drill press and band saw, turned them over and filled the ribs with Bondo. Now I can clamp to them.

    Mark,

I did the same. MDF table, bolted to the original table. The new table is about 48" x 20", and it's incredibly useful to me. I slotted it for t-tracks in the MDF, and attached an adjustable fence. The t-track also lets me use clamps if I need to.
