Tom, love that piece, the weight, proportions, finish, absolutely robust. Love to see the top. Not a huge piece for my shoe size but who wants to clutter it up with shoes?
You can do a lot with very little! You can do a little more with a lot!
Thank you! Yes, my design. I spent a fair bit of time looking around at benches and Mission details. I’ll look through for a pic of the top, I saved the most vertical grain boards for the top since with white oak those reveal the most “flake” detail. Still, not as much as I would have liked.
That's really well done, sir. Take a bow. And the low profit you earned on this piece led to another job for the same people, so it will pay off if you price this one knowing what you now know about the time it takes to finish it. Repeat customers are priceless.

Lots of nice attention to detail!! Very well done and I like everything about it.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. My desk is a work station.
Nice piece. Arts and Crafts was my first love.
Hi Tom
Very nice work. Not sure why or how 5 pieces on the legs instead of 4.
Being from the northwest and into the Craftsman style I expect that you have looked at Greene and Greene for inspiration. It gives me direction to lighten up and upgrade the sometimes clunky A&C style.
