Hopefully they find a good home. My gimlet drawer is to the point of overflowing. They do come in handy at times.

They are good for starting a center hole for lathe work.

    Bill,
I'll take those if still available. If you won't take payment beyond mailing cost, i'll make a donation to SMC. I'd offer to drive over, but it would be at least 2 or 3 weeks!!

you would think something as simple as this would be fool proof. Well, fool proof ain't never met me.

An un-noticed PM came in at 12:46 from Nicholas Lawrence saying he would take them.
Then at 1:10 Earl answered in the forum.

    So...........

Nicholas, let me know if you still want them - you were first.

    Sorry Earl, my bad.

Just an fyi for anyone who might want a great set of gimlets, Lee Valley has an excellent set for $14.50. I use mine quite often - especially as screw starters and pilot holes.

You may have to search using the search function on the new lv site is very flashy, but it takes many more steps to find what you are looking for than the old website.

    Many Kind Regards . . . Allen

Allen, thanks for the FYI reminder. I use gimlets a lot, at the lathe and elsewhere. (Great little cordless drills!). I have several sets but I'd like another quality set. BTW, small kids LOVE to use them in the shop - I give them a gimlet and a piece of soft pine or cedar and they happily drill hole after hole!

Another BTW, be careful buying them from Amazon. I got two sets in a row from one Amazon vendor that were useless because the screw tips were not properly made. They didn't even want the first set back but the replacement set was the same!
