Have the X2BF, glad I did, I don’t always fully apply the brake,but it kills the saw motor when you tap on it. I find it’s easier than hitting the switch when your handling larger pieces. My basic thought when buying tools where options are desirable, it’s always best to purchase them if it’s not that much more money. After buying it you don’t even miss the few hundred bucks and always glad you have the option.

I have the 0513x2, it’s a great bandsaw! I rarely find I need to fire it back up after making a cut, so can’t say I need the brake. I know if I had the brake, I’d love it.
