    Laser Problem

We have a GCC Spirit 45w laser that is giving us some problems.

This is the image I am trying to engrave. It is just a solid black rectangle

    This is the output

You can see it starts to engrave then peters out.

I suspect a laser power issue, such as the tube going. If I turn the machine off for a while and start it up, I can get it to engrave again, then it peters out.

    Any ideas?

looks like your tube is bad, How old is the machine? where on the table are you trying to engrave from?

The machine is about 5 years old or so. We were engraving on the top left corner, closest to the mirrors. I suspect a problem with the tube, but wasn't sure if it could be a power problem...
