Picked up some air dried (12 yrs) walnut today from an older gentleman cleaning out his workshop.
The 3 larger boards are 10/4 x. 8' x 13". The smaller board is 6 1/2' x 10/4 x 10". Roughly 75 bf.
He wanted $2.25 / bf which I readily agreed to. My regular sawmill prices wide 8/4 @ $8/bf. So, that feels like a pretty good deal that I couldn't pass up.

Give it a really close inspection to make sure no powder post beetles in the sapwood!

Yep, did that. Would not have brought it home if I saw any evidence of bugs.

Nice deal, my wife is always worrying about bugs in wood I get.
