    Powermatic PM1000 Electrical Question

In my research for a real table saw I am currently focusing on the PM1000 and reading the manual I found this curiosity where the incoming power white and black wires "appear" to be jumpered at the on/off switch. I know this isn't the case but what do those things that look like jumpers really do or their purpose?

    Page 38 of the manual

This doesn't impact my decision. BTW discussion on this board have me looking to a cabinet saw vs a contractor saw I was entertaining and someone owes me $400.. lol

They look like a mistake to me. As you said, if both jumpers are in place, they would directly short the incoming line.

It’s a mistake on the drawing.

It’s possible that 2 switch contacts are in parallel, however the drawing is wrong for that as well....Regards, Rod.
