Please help me identify this item

I'm helping a friend go thru her father's basement full of tools to prepare for selling them. Among the items,we found this:
    Resized_20190914_161927_2648.jpgResized_20190914_161904_7660.jpg

Can you tell me what it is or what type of tool it belongs with?
    TIA

Lisa how big is it ? To me it looks like an edge guide for a circular saw .

    Mike,

The bar is quite small, roughly 3/8" x 1/2" or so. The "pin" portion can be moved in a slot. The triangular portion is maybe 4" x 4". It is made from quite thin materials.

I'll take a look at the various circular saws when I'm there tomorrow and see if it would work with any of them.

I think I have saw a guide like that for use on a jigsaw. The pin could be for circle cutting.

Could be for a router as well but, in my experience, those always have two arms.

2nd that. Remarkable depth of knowledge here.
