    Leigh RTJ400 Storage Unit

I recently bought a Leigh RTJ400 Router Table Dovetail Jig from fellow creeker Greg Parrish (Thanks, Greg) and realized that I needed a place to store it. It is over 26" long and 3" high so it doesn't conveniently fit in any drawer, systainer, or any other container I had. After thinking about it a while, I realized that I had some space between the studs of my inner wall and proceeded to build the housing pictured below.

The jig slips in from the right under a retainer at the top and bottom to keep the left edge in place. Then a pair of turn buttons secure the right side. I had enough room in the stud bay to allow for storage of the miscellaneous other parts that come with the jig.

I'm sure the same concept can be applied to other dovetail jigs and accessories with a long, narrow shape.
