    Bosch PR20EVSPK Router Issue

So I was using my Bosch Palm router, for the first time, with a 1/4" spiral up cut bit.

I needed to cut a square hole out of a 3/4" piece of plywood. I figured I'd make two or three passes, adjusting the depth on each pass.

I could not get the base to clamp tight enough to stop the bit basically pulling the motor down inside the exterior base. I adjusted the 8mm lock nut that is on the clamping mechanism, as tight as I could get it, but still be able to use the toggle eccentric clamp.

Any one else had a similar issue. or have suggested solution?

  2. Not specifically with a spiral cut but, but I have noticed it vibrates up or down with other cutters.

I’ll have to look at mine but, with the fine height adjustment threads engaged this should not be possible, yes?

Base has to be twisted to lock in position IIRC.

This is prior to doing fine adjustment.

Thank you, I guess I should have read the manual.
