    No, I don't know what it is, so lets see what everyone says.

    Can't see in pic, but it is highly chatoyant. So I think its quilted, not a burl?

    It looks like some kind of weird sci-fi creepy woods or something. But I guess that is not a specific wood now is it.

    It’s stunning whatever type of what it is.

    How big is the sample? - trying to get a sense of scale.

    I have had red elm burls that looked similar.

    Looks like Pleomorphic Adenoma-I'd contact a pathologist--Beautiful burl! What are your plans for it?
