    Hi Pete...had to go hunt for pictures. Found them here on the creek. I made Bertha and the Ugly Stick many years ago so I could learn how to hollow. Both tools were used on this project.
    Bertha is good for long reaches with lots of heft and leverage. The Ugly Stick was specifically made to get under the shoulder of vases and HF's.

    Thanks John look a lot like some tools being sold commercially today with an added carbide cup cutter.

    Very nice John. Not sure which is more impressive, your tuning skills or your imagination to come up with the design.
