    Butternut Coffee Table Bowl

There's an Amish drying kiln about a mile from me and the choices are to die for. They had this nice 10 foot slab of Butternut...14" X 3" that had my name on it.
Been making a variety of things but yesterday I decided I needed a nice coffee table bowl.
    13 X 2.5.....WOP satin

You have done a fine job on that bowl, I really like the shape. I have a piece of Butternut, but haven't turned it yet. How was it to turn?

It's pretty nice to turn. As easy as cherry but much easier to sand. No tear out. Just a pleasure. It has an interesting smell....almost minty
