A few boxes I made recently

I've been making a few small boxes as first projects after a long break from woodworking. Here's a few pics. Not perfect, getting the finish right (two have waterlox original, and two are water based lacquer) seems to be the hardest part.

Welcome, Dueane. They are nice. I suggest varying the leg tops a little instead of making them all flat on the top. The
thin wood gives a nice lean moderness.

    Welcome to the Creek!
The boxes look great! How did you attach the legs - glue, pins, etc?

Nice. The contrasting woods are eye-popping.
Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!

You have a nice theme going there, Dueane. What do you do with these boxes ? Do you sell them ?

Nice work Dueane. I'm a big fan of applied legs like you did - just like the way they look and they add dimension to the box. You pulled it off nicely.

I used epoxy to glue the legs

I try to sell them. No one buys fancy stuff around where I live!
Where did I put those band aids?

Dueane, nice work - thanks for sharing!

What is the top panel of the box in the second pic made of? Some sort of burl? It looks to have a really neat texture

Beautiful work! eBay might be a way to sell them if you don’t mind packing and shipping.

“Getting back into woodworking” I see you didn’t forget anything. Nicely done.
