    Maple pedestal bowl

A piece I worked on today. The bowl has been drying for a year so I took the day off from work and finished it off.
This is a 5" maple natural edge bowl set up on a walnut burl pedestal.

John, I would like to copy the pedestal if it's ok. How did you fasten the walnut "tray", and how did you fasten the bowl to the "tray"?

    Thanks Glenn
Expect to put as much work into the tray as you do in the bowl. I cut a 3" diameter groove in the bottom of the bowl then match a precise 3" diameter tongue into the tray piece while creating the curve I want. Then just glue it in place
