    Cherry Cores

Sweet Sunday afternoon with a 45 lb. chuck of cherry. 8", 10.5" and 14" cores. Really made the shop smell nice.

    Thanks Roger,

Motor was bogging down and the belt was singing but put a bit more tension on the belt and clear sailing. Could tell the 3hp makes a difference with this application.

It does indeed. So far, I’ve not had a belt singing on either my G0766 nor o my G0800......Glad you got it figured out. IMO, big wood needs big power when it comes to coring especially, which is one of the things that stresses the lathe the most.
