    Router Planer Sled

I have been contiplating building a router Planer sled to flatten some end grain cutting boards before I run them through the drum sander. I've read some past posts on this and was wondering if anyone has built one using linear bearings and know where I could purchase some plans. I looked at the Woodhaven sled and the Woodpeckers Sled but figured I could build one for around the same cost but better?

Might be wishful thinking but any advice from the Creekers would be much appreciated.

Don't complicate things. A simple crossbeam holding the router that rides on two straight and in plane rails of your choice works just fine. I've never made a permanent one; whatever is needed for that particular project can be custom made to fit in 30 minutes.

    John,

Good point. I tend to over think things sometimes well maybe all the time.
