    walnut birdbath

Last time I was at Cassen's Lumber found this piece of walnut that had a depression, which I enlarged for use as a bird bath. I was thinking of brushing on 2 part epoxy (if it can even be brushed on), then I thought maybe poly would be better. Any comments or suggestions? Can 2 part be brushed on?

turns out it paints on just fine. A bit runny at first but it works. Birds are already enjoying it. ANd my wife thinks it's the coolest thing in her garden. Now, what kind of new tool do I need...........

  3. Thanks for the post Bill. I'm building a multi level bird thingy for a garden center and will be doing the same process. Good to know it works.
