I bought a solid wood door, stained it and put a General Finishes poly on it, to be used by LOML as her desk top. We had to move it temporarily to a different room for a couple days, as that room's wood floor was to be refinished. When we moved the desk top back, lo and behold, there were two "dings" on the corner exactly where the knee hole was and where LOML can't miss them. The other sides have serious defects and are not an option. Obviously, I need suggestions on "best technique to repair" such defects on a solid wood door with a General Finishes Poly top coat. Any input will be greatly appreciated by me and LOML. Thanks!
