I have a 2hp cyclone dust colelctor with 5" inlet. I run 6" pvc pipe on the ceiling. I am upgrading my tablesaw and I would like thoughts on a 6" duct into the cabinet. Or maybe a 4" into the cabinet and 2-4" drop over the blade.

Bigger the better is the general rule. Step down to a smaller size (if you have to) as close the machine as possible.

I run a 4" duct to the table saw cabinet, and 2" to the blade dust collector. It seems to work fine.
