The sky opened up in Galveston County Texas last night

And the bed of my F150 had water in it this morning. I turned the truck with the front towards the street so the water will drain out under the tail gate.

It is clear and sunny today though and a refreshing day to be alive.

BIL said they got 6.0 inches in Baton Rouge night before last. We're expecting 4+ inches over the next few days. Last week, we had over an inch, which was the first rain in two weeks of 90+ weather.

Today is a bright clear day. The water is almost gone.

Palacios which is west of Galveston got 7” of rain Wednesday. I was down there volunteering to help turn the old “Palacios Colored School” into a community center. I felt awful as I drove out of town that evening knowing many people were worse off than when our group of 80 arrived three days earlier.

    That is a clever picture.

I just had a pint or so of water. I have a retractable bed cover and a bit got in.
