Are the adapters interchangeable where one could go from 1x8 to 1 1/4 x8?

Yes, I have those adapters and switch between 1" 8tpi and 1-1/4" 8tpi. A few years ago I got a Metric adapter from Vicmark so I could do use the chucks for a demo on a Oneway lathe (Grizzly did not have that adapter and the Vicmark one fits fine).

I have always tightened both sockets six or more times. Still loosens. My Vicmarc’s don’t loosen.

I am a huge fan of Oneway or Vicmark for chucks.
