    Yard sale find

Today I stopped at a yard sale and picked up an old handmade steel toolbox.
There was only one Woodworking tool. See photos.
The only markings are AJ WILKINSON & CO. BOSTON WARENTEED
    PATENTED. JULY 16, 1895
    Anyone got any info

Looks like a regular spokeshave or drawknife but the folding handles are different. I assume Wilkerson is the same as the razor/sword maker.

similar but not quite the same:

Looks like a nice draw knife with adjustable handles. One of mine is similar to yours by a different maker.

The handles closing over the blade not only lets it take up less room, it makes it less likely to take off a finger in the toolbox.

Interesting design. There's some info about the company here: https://www.davistownmuseum.org/bioWilkinson.html

I think the Wilkinson of sword/razor blade fame is/was in the UK - but maybe someone in the family came to the States and set up shop.

There are several similar draw knives for sale on the auction site - asking $40-$100.
