    Air Compressor ID

I bought this compressor. Ingersoll Rand Model S 30-5. A 30T series (the tank says 1971). Serial number 305698. The motor is 5HP

But cannot seem to find much info on this particular model number.

I do see in the lower right corner it says 235... perhaps a model series?

Anyone have insights? (would be interested in pricing a rebuild kit if available)

I was hoping to clean it up and make it my user. A rebuild might be in the works if needed. Have a newer tank will likely put on it. But the oil looks a grayish brown... a strange color.

(some air tools, nailers, sanders, bead/grit blasting, spray gun, air kids bike tires, soccer balls, etc... so a variety of duty cycles).

Change the oil to Royal Purple compressor oil, and it will probably be fine.
