    Fixing outdoor table finish

Refinished this table last year with general finishes exterior stain and then their exterior finish. Any way to fix these areas that peeled down to bare wood or do i have to strip the whole thing down and start over? Was thinking maybe use a dye instead and it will just get to the bare spots then a couple of finish coats...

Film finishes and outdoors are not generally a good mix. You'll have to strip it at start over, IMHO, as any "repair" will be immediately evident. It's best to use a penetrating finish that doesn't form a film in an outdoor situation.

Agree with Jim. And...I just don't think that even the best exterior finishes can compete with out of doors colors. I would
put a bright blue tarp on it for off duty,or brief rest. And a colorful cloth covering underneath the tarp for meals and more lengthy rests .

So is that an Epifanes or Sikkens Cetol product that you recommend? or is it something else?
