    The horror!

    My neighbor is having a bunch of trees taken out. He bought a house on a wooded lot but decided he wants a lush lawn. All in all about 20 are coming down. Maple, cherry, white oak, and hickory at 24” to 30” or so in diameter. One prize maple is (was) over 40” in diameter with 30 feet of clear branch free trunk. We talked a few months ago about bringing in a Sawyer and slabbing it all up.

    Alas, I get home today and it’s all firewood. Big freaking hunks of firewood.

    Get a lathe and take all that firewood. You will be in the chips for life.
