    Desulphators Do Work

Recently I got two used deep cycle batteries for a project. Both were less than two years old. One was partially charged, and the other refused to take a charge. On the one which refused to take a charge, I put a $12.00 desulphator that I bought from ebay. (It's the kind that you plug a 12V "wall wart" into to furnish power.) After two weeks, specific gravity showed it to be charged. Took battery by auto parts store yesterday and had them check it on their "whizz bang" tester. Tester showed battery was in great shape, so good they didn't even try to sell me a new battery. Second battery is coming around, as specific gravity is almost up to 1.250. In my case, desulphator did work. Your mileage may vary, but for twelve bucks delivered, what did I have to lose? FYI, I've owned a "BatteryMinder" for years, but it will only go into desulphating mode when battery reaches a charge of 12.0 volts
