My dad, his dad, and I assume his dad (I'm not all that current on my family tree) built a lot of the first houses in this town, I have a lot of their old saws & planes & things, but I don't remember seeing these before. I didn't follow in their woodworking steps so much either, and most of my woodworking knowledge I gather from you guys-- Anyway, these are pretty old, thought I'd share

That is known as a duplex rabbet plane. It is so one can get close to an enclosed corner.
Yours is an early model, no blade adjuster and appears to be missing the fence and rod for guiding it along an edge.

Cool. This is the first I’d heard of American Tool and Foundry Company, but there’s a couple just like it up for auction as we speak at the internet auction sites.
