    Laguna IQ offsetting dimensions

    Hi Folks,
We are trying to get the IQ to run a simple program correctly.

The program locates 2 holes at:
    X: 4.0 Y: 1.0
    X: 4.0 Y: 10.0

We have an origin setup at the corner of the work piece. When we run the program it seems that the machine is offsetting the positive direction of both X & Y. The offset appears to be 1/4 per inch in each direction. So for the 4.0 X location we are about 1.0 inch offset. For the Y 1.0 we are offset .25 and for Y 10.0 we are offset 4.0 inches.

The display on the handheld however displays the correct location without the offset. The dimensions are expressed in mm.

We have looked at the actual program file and the dimensions are correct although in mm.

    Anyone have any ideas?
    Izzy

Could easily be that the settings for steps are incorrect. That would produce very consistent error. No idea what the IQ uses for control software so maybe someone will be along shortly that can actually explain to you where they are set.

BTW, if it is consistently .25 off per inch then it should be off 2.5 inches for the 10 inch movement, not 4.0.

We finally got Laguna tech support on the phone. They knew right away what the problem was. I guess they saw it before.

There was a value in the menu system that was 400 and it should have been 320. I am not sure where it was located in the menu. Wish they had put some thing on their website.
