    New Jointer and Bandsaw

I think I have fallen down the rabbit hole. Approx. 1 year ago I purchased a Hammer K3 slider. Now my new jointer and bandsaw have arrived. A felder A941 jointer and a 510 bandsaw. Never in a million years would I have thought I would buy tools in this price range. I guess my son won't have any inheritance after all. They are both better than what I had. I went from a 8" grizzly jointer to the 16" felder. Surprisingly the jointer doesn't take up much more space than the grizzly. The bandsaw is only slightly larger on the footprint of my old Rikon. I guess this is similar to the green koolaid syndrome.
Haven't had much time to try out but I will say they are surprisingly quiet. I do like the folding guard on the jointer.
Below are pictures. Again some pictures sideways.

Congrats on the new iron. Had to turn my head 90 degrees to see the bandsaw. You must have the Silent Power cutter head on the jointer. I have the same head on my AD 3-41 jointer/planer machine and it is not only quiet but leaves a nice surface that does not need a lot of sanding. Enjoy.

    Congratulations.

I can't afford tools like that. Luckily for me I don't have the room in y garage so I am not tempted. But I am glad for you.

Beautiful tools, congrats. Even if woodworking skips a generation, they'll still be going.

That Kool-aid makes the green Kool-aid look a lot less appetizing

Why mount the bandsaw on the ceiling? You'll cut your head.

That guard is interesting. I assume the support travels up and down? Why is it folded (can the knuckle extend out over the blade without collapsing?)

N CA? I have to ask. Are you looking to get rid of the Grizzly 8"?

Congrats. I recently got my Felder A941 jointer, and it's fantastic. Huge step up from my Laguna combo machine.

I went one size bigger with the FB710 Bandsaw. OMG what a beast it is. The pictures don't do justice to its shear size.

You'll love your new machines. Now go build something nice.

Thanks everyone. This was certainly a major purchase for me.
Yes it has the silent power cutter head.
Matthew, regarding the guard. It is foldable in 2 places to keep it out of the way. It does go up and down with the knob located to the left of the guard. It also slides in and out.
Jack, yes the jointer is for sale. It is listed in the classifieds.

Hmmm, I am unable to post on the classified section...but I think I'm your huckleberry on the jointer. I'm in Nevada City. Can't send PM's either. Give me a call at 530 615-1324, please.
