Thanks for posting the update. FPT, and MPT are threads I don't think I've ever dealt with, so I had to look it up. Turns out they're the same threads as NPT, but just have better quality mating surfaces, rated for "low pressure systems". FPT female pipe thread. MPT male pipe thread. I never did see what pressure they're rated to, but did see that JIC are rated to 10,000 psi, which is why, I guess, they're used for hydraulic systems.
