I made a mistake and ordered a new 100 watt tube as my machine was acting up , turned out it was the power supply not the tube
so now I have a 10,000 hr 118 watt new tube in the shipping box, how long can it sit not used

Cross your fingers and hope it's still good up till when you might need it!
Reci is a top brand - so you might get 5 years? or more. Who can say - but we have a 7 year old Reci tube still going fine (130 watt- W6)
but... I had an opportunity to buy a spare last year, so I did!
