    "Wood" Birthday Cake

Every year my wife creates a theamed birthday celebration for me.
This year she took the family to a bar where they have Axe throwing lanes. I had never heard of this before? After countless errant throws of an axe into a wood target, I finally started to get the hang of it. Everything she planed for us was based on, in one way or another, WOOD! The party culminated with a WOOD birthday cake.
The bakery that made the cake specializes in crazy/artistic custom cakes. They had never made a LOG cake before. This was a multi-layered lemon cake with white chocolate icing.

Sounds like you found a great mate, but how much is this great birthday celebration gonna cost YOU. New bedroom suite? New entertainment center? All of the above?

You're a lucky man! Happy Birthday!

I love the idea of axe throwing and alcohol. That's a Texas kind of idea I'd never see in Connecticut - like drive-thru liquor stores.

Hey: Texas does not have all the best drive in ideas. Richmond, California had the first drive through funeral home.

A Birthday to remember for sure. I want/need me one of those cakes. Of course, I want/need every cake I see.

Neat cake. I think it would have been more appropriate if it was a maple-walnut rather than lemon.

Not just a Texas thing. These bars are all over. BadAxeThrowing
