    Wire Clip Needed

This works to keep the charger wires from slipping down into the desk but I'd like to make something more woodworkery. suggestions?

A block of pretty wood which is big enough to not get pulled into that hole, with a slot halfway through it which is a tad wider than the cable diameter. The cable drops into the slot, and the connector can't pull through the slot. Simple, and woodworkery.

How about stapling the wire somewhere in the back of the cabinet ?

As a slight modification to Jamie's idea - pretty block of wood sized to fit the existing horizontal opening. Cut slot as described but make slot so that wire itself is "friction tight" in slot. This allows connector to extend to equipment but wire is restrained from falling back into opening. Wires would have to be similar diameter for this to work.

You could also use something less woodworkery but possibly more functional to secure the wires behind the pretty wood block...
    Regards,

    Kris

To get around the cable diameter problem, make the slot somewhat V-shaped. A thin cable drops down near the bottom before it catches. A thick cable catches higher up in the slot.
