    Boxes for the nieces

In the process of making jewelry/keepsake boxes for 5 nieces. Here’s two I’ve just completed. To my eye, I prefer the cherry one...I think the banding/stringing complement it best. I like the mahogany one...just maybe too much going on. I’m trying to use as much on hand material as I can and some combinations just work better than others. Great little projects nonetheless.

I enjoy boxes, your nieces will love them!

(agree that some combinations work better than others but am betting they will all be received with a smile!)

very nice boxes Phil. I've always been partial to cherry, so, ya, I agree with you on that. Nice attention to detail. Well done.

Thank you all for the nice comments. 2 down and 3 to go. The LOML has requested a shadow box table for some of her gazillion sea shells. That will certainly come first. Then the 3 remaining boxes...then figure out what to do for the nephews
