    Coffee Station

Built this for my office: a place for a coffee pot or electric kettle and some storage above and below. Cherry and Waterlox OSF.

Charles, the piece will serve you well - did you resaw the cherry to get the bookmatched panels? Pretty & functional!

Very nice. Did you make provisions for the power cords to go out the back?

    Thanks all!

Mark, yes. The back pieces, lower door panels, and side panels are 1/4" resawn from 4/4 - 5/4 material.

Lee, also yes. In fact there's a power strip in the lower cabinet for the typically short appliance cords to plug in.

There is a lot to like about that piece. Nice proportions, clean workmanship, beautiful color. The glass in the upper doors is a nice touch, too. Very well done.

Now you need a cherry desk and credenza to compliment the coffee station. Well done!!

    Thanks again, everyone!

In fact the employer-supplied furniture in my office includes a desk and credenza...in imitation cherry. I'm glad I was able to make do with real cherry! Maybe sooner or later I'll upgrade the desk and credenza too.

How did you get those pictures to stand up in the post. Mine always get displayed 'landscape'

    And nice work

Thank you. I cropped and resized the photos with Paint Shop Pro, a Windows application, then saved them as new copies. Even if the photos are sideways when I begin, I can rotate them as needed.

There are other applications that can do the job as well.
