    Polycarbonate lenses offer some degree of protection. You can smack them pretty hard before they break.

    My dad once hit a hidden staple with a TS and the staple made a perfect staple-shaped dent in the lens of his polycarbonate glasses. Imagine if that was your eyeball!

    I have a pair from LensCrafters, I end up wearing them all day most days. Best part about safety glasses: they're deemed unstylish and therefore the frames only cost about $30!

    I got mine from Wal-Mart. Most local optical shops do not carry them around here.
