    Blanket Chest part III

I re sawed some stock down to 1/2' thickness and planed the T&G with my new LN T&G plane (Merry Christmas to me!). I plowed a 1/4" groove in all four interior sides of the lower stretchers and glued in a 1/2" thick ledger in the groove to land the ends of the floor boards on. The individual boards were fixed in place with a single brass screw located at the center of each boards' ends. The lower stretchers had some arcs shaped in with the BS, spokeshaves, scrapers and sandpaper. After that, I moved to the breadboard ends by scribing the top ends for the 1/4" tongues, plowing a 3/8" rebate at the shoulder line and chopping/planing the waste off. The three mortises were created in the breadboard end (center one for tight fit, end ones to allow for expansion/contraction).
