    Simple finger joint jig

I made a really simple finger joint jig this weekend for use in making boxes or drawers. It don't have a dado set so I am currently limited to pins that are as wide as the kerf on my table saw blade. The jig consists of a single board clamped to my crosscut sled with a protruding sliver of wood the same thickness as the blade kerf. Once the jig is made there's a bit of adjustment to get it just right. I can't wait to use it on a project.

Here's the video I used as reference to make the jig: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYlA0CRDn3k

I made my first jointed beehive boxes that way. It worked well once I got it set correctly

If I could have seen that vid nearly 50 years ago rather than gathering information from a magazine it would have saved me a lot of time.
