Older house with wooden (probably pine) window casings originally stained a darker walnut color and I suspect sprayed with lacquer. In pretty good shape except for the sills on the southern exposure side - color bleached and wood dried with fair number of superficial cracks in the wood. Does anyone have experience with a relatively easy way to restore? Would prefer to not have to sand down to bare wood if possible... There is a product called "Restor-A-Finish" which sounds probably too good to be true, but maybe???
thanks in advance for advice
