I was asked to do some numbers for the Bishops private residence. The numbers that are there just don’t really stand out. Since I did his crest for the cathedral as well as refinishing a shield on his residence I used colors and elements to carve this sign.
In Catholics heraldry the Roman hat called a galero symbolizes priests and the colors change depending on if he’s a Cardinal, Bishop etc.
The sign is 2” thick, 20” W X 12” H finished in one shot lettering enamel and 23k gold.
