    Band Saw Tooth Configuration

I have to make some curve cuts in cherry wood from 4-6 inches thick. Due to the radius of some of the curves Ill need to use 1/4 wide blade. My research so far tells I should probably use 6 PPI. What I don't know is which tooth configuration to use. Standard, skip tooth, variable, or hook.

If you go to the 7:00 mark in this video you can see exactly what I'm trying to accomplish. Band sawing out some drawer fronts for a Block Front Chest

I think I'd use a a bit coarser tooth count. I've never seen the fronts done that way. The video looks like he's using solid
mahogany which is going to show a lot of end grain. The ones I've seen have all been veneered.

Pretty sure "standard" and "skip" are the same. That's what I'd use and just go slow. Do they even make variable tooth or negative-hook 1/4" blades?
