I'm gearing up to build a wood gear clock from clayton boyer designs. But i cannot decide if I should purchase the dxf files or paper plans.

I will undoubtedly mess up a gear or two while Im learning the craft and getting the feel for a scroll saw. Would getting regular copies of the paper plans end up acurate enough or would I be better off with dxf files and get multiple prints or as needed. I live in calgary and cannot imagine getting these prints would be too difficult but I have no need to cnc any part if that makes a difference is selection.

Thanks everyone for any input or wisdom you at have.
