Is it a ring, or a buzz, or a notification ring?

Could it a buzz from something like a charger getting bumped and the charging gets interrupted for a split second before resuming causing the screen to become lit and a buzz to let you know its charging?

    Or maybe its a bug.

Does the call show up in your recent calls? Have you powered your phone off and then back on recently? Checked for software updates?

I suspect you have your ringtone set to same sound as your notifications sound. Do you have email set up on the phone?

That is a good suggestion. I will look and see.

    Thanks

    How often does it happen?
I get that maybe 3-4 times a year. I figure it's a computer searching for active cell numbers.
Never, under any circumstances, combine a laxative and sleeping pill, on the same night

It happens occasionally, not often and I do not have email set up.
