    Finished with General Finishes Wood Turner's Finish. It is a water based finish. Wood sanded to 400 grit, with lathe turning at 300 rpm applied 1st coat with paper shop towel folded. Let dry and sand at 600 grit. Build multiple coats of finish as each coat losses tackiness apply the next (no sanding between coats). This finish dries quickly. If becomes to ridgy, let dry and sand smooth. Get a good build up, let dry over night, sand smooth 600 grit, or finer then buff. Try 12 plus coats.
