I actually don't have the amana, I've just been looking at it recently. I have a cmt 8-15 and want to pick up one that covers a wider range.

I just wanted to share another option that is less expensive than the Felder options and less expensive than many of the Amana options too. No doubt a product of the "direct-from-manufacturer" prices without intermediary parties.

I own some if anyone has any questions,

I need to call/email them and have a pair of 153mm x 10mm stackable centers made (insert door head)

They do that sort of work all the time as a matter of course, and the process is seamless. I've had a few things made for me and there will be a bit of back and forth followed by a CAD drawing for your approval and it's off to the custom shop.

I'm really glad they have their insert door head in their latest catalogue because I think it's one of the most versatile insert style options out there. Good for doors up to 33mm thick, infinite panel adjustability between 5-9mm and you can get profiled edge doors and mission/shaker all in one set for way less than seperate. They can also supply custom profiles.

You can have any set bored to your requirement.

I had an FS tools 6" set bored to 30mm for my saw and shaper. It's a great set as the blades are ground as a set to the exact diameter.

A 4" set may not give you much tool projection beyond the fence, and once the spacers are on a 1 1/4" spindle there won't be a lot of cutting depth.

That said my dado set works great, except it doesn't go small enough for many veneered panels......Rod.
